XT Auto CPAP Machine with Heated Humidifier

The XT APAP Machine from APEX Medical is suited to be used at home and is versatile enough to be one of the most travel-friendly sleep apnea devices on the market. Most importantly, it comes with an in-built power supply which adds to its overall portability unlike most CPAP machines out there that have an external power supply. An in-built power supply only means fewer things to carry however the machine still needs to be plugged into the wall in order to power it. The XT power supply allows this CPAP machine with a humidifier to work both domestically and internationally; users who intend to use the device during international travel will need to procure an outlet adapter.

Great travel device

I have been travelling with the Apex for many years. It took me a long time to find it. The high points are its small size, standard hose size, basic common power cord without a large heavy power supply brick. Showing the actual size and weight of the power brick everyone else uses would be a plus. I do not use the humidifier attachment. A saline nasal spray before and after bed works for me. I have also used a small USB humidifier placed near the air intake. Since the cord is basic (X-box), I have a 25ft one and a 4ft one. They easily solve all my connection issues, especially on cruise ships. This unit also fits in a one gallon Ziploc bag along with the power cords. The bag keeps it clean and I easily place it into my checked luggage and pad it with my clothing. I use another Ziploc bag for my hose and mask. People sensitive to any sound it makes can easily place it upon a folded washcloth and drape another over the top. Since I only use this device when I travel, I expect many, many more years of service from it.

I do not like it

I am not happy with this machine. I cannot get the menu options to adjust any of the settings. Most importantly, my airway doesn't stay open when I use it becassue the auto setting doesn't increase the pressure enough. What Am I supposed to do with this machine?

Works great.

First night using it. Very automated, plug and use. I am going to change some "not for patients" settings. You know, the settings that you need to press a couple of things at once to do changes. But it looks easy enough. This thing is quiet! I mean "is it on?" quiet. And without the humidity chamber it is very portable. Especially if you consider that there is no power supply brick like some others.

I started to use it and it worked great for a few months and then it started to whistle whith every breath. the noise was not loud, but when it gets in your head, is dificult to sleep
i had to get back to my old machine.

i have this unit,works exelent.great price,blow the mask right off your face , been using it 5 months now thinking about getting another for my semi truck love this little thing you wont be disapointed...
